Dustin Johnson is the Research Advisor at the Dallaire Institute, where he currently focuses on projects on estimating how many child soldiers are being recruited and used in the world, and on how gender impacts child protection operations in peacekeeping. He is currently pursuing the latter research project as a doctoral student in peace and development research at the School of Global Studies at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. He has worked at the Dallaire Initiative since May 2016 after completing his master’s degree and holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Dalhousie University. He has previously worked in research and NGO positions in Canada, the USA, and Mongolia.
