Lorraine completed a Bachelors’ Degree in Management Studies at the Northern Caribbean University.  She has over ten (10) years’ experience in the administrative field.  Lorraine served as an Administrative Assistant in the private sector before transitioning into the government sector. Her first stint with the Government of Jamaica was with the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority as a Senior Secretary. Thereafter, she was hired by the National Environment and Planning Agency, where she also served as a Senior Secretary.  Lorraine’s most impactful role within the government sector began with her placement at the HEART Trust/NTA, which is the National Training Agency of Jamaica established to educate and train underserved youth within vulnerable communities. She commenced her role as an Administrative Assistant where she provided support to the Corporate Secretary and the Board of Directors.  In her capacity, she was required to record and prepare Minutes of Meetings for seven Board Committees, draft Board Committee reports for submission to the Board of Directors, prepare and submit payroll for Board Directors and external Committee Members. 

Lorraine was promoted to the position of Senior Administrative Assistant in the Corporate Planning and Strategic Development Division of the Trust. Her main functions included but were not limited to, assisting the Senior Director with daily administrative duties, completing a variety of administrative tasks, managing an active calendar of appointments by utilizing Microsoft Outlook. Additionally, she was required to liaise with Heads of Department on behalf of the Senior Director. She was responsible for the preparation of the yearly Divisional budget, preparing monthly divisional expense and variance reports, and making travel arrangements.  Lorraine served as a member and in some instances recording secretary for several Organizational Committees. She is proficient in both electronic and manual Document Management, as a result she was awarded the title Administrative Professional of the year for the 2018/2019 financial year and was specially requested to serve as the Planning and Performance Monitoring Officer in the handling of all documents for the largest Government Sector Merger in Jamaica.
