Louise’s experience in Operations Management includes over fourteen years as the Chief Operating Officer leading the administration operations for the Department of Emergency Medicine in Halifax. She effectively joined the employees from Dalhousie University, the Nova Scotia Health Authority, IWK Children’s Hospital and contract staff together to support the clinical and academic operations of this important Department.
Prior to this, Louise was a consultant with the Nova Scotia Public Service Commission where she led rollouts of performance management competencies, facilitated strategic planning sessions, and led the Learning & Development Team. She also worked with Maritime Life and led the significant change management program to assist the 3,000 employees across Canada in moving successfully through the corporate acquisition by Manulife.
Learning & Development has always been a focus for Louise in the positions she has held. While she was working with Maritime Life, she completed the Executive MBA program with a focus on International Business at Saint Mary’s University/Sobey School of Business. She also recently obtained certification from Prosci as a Change Management Practitioner.
Louise’s passion is making a positive and lasting difference within the organizations she serves. She is excited and honoured to be joining the Dallaire Institute for Children, Peace and Security! Louise resides in beautiful Terence Bay, Nova Scotia with her family.
