Women Leading in Building Peace and Security

The Dallaire Institute for Children, Peace and Security is proud to host a one-day workshop and an evening plenary session to commemorate this year’s International Day of Peace.

Discussions will explore how children are impacted by the intersections of armed violence, armed conflict, and trafficking, while also addressing the existing gaps and challenges in the implementation of the Women, Peace, and Security agenda and the Children in Armed Conflict mandate.

Participants will engage in constructive critiques aimed at improving the prevention, protection, and participation of children, emphasizing their central role in fostering global peace and security.

Event proceeds will support the Dallaire Institute in its mission to prevent the recruitment and use of children as well as to transform cycles of violence. Any amount you pay beyond the $20 ticket fee (including all applicable tax and service fees) will be considered a donation to the Dallaire Institute, and you will qualify for a charitable tax receipt. As a donor and supporter, you will receive updates from the Dallaire Institute about our work in preventing the recruitment and use of children in armed violence.
