Where We Work

The Dallaire Institute’s team, at global headquarters in Halifax, Canada, implements country-based programming through its Regional Centres of Excellence (COEs).

Our African COE, based in Rwanda, and Latin American COE, based in Uruguay, combine high-level advocacy with field-focused and country-facing capabilities to ensure that Dallaire Institute programs are contextually relevant, culturally sensitive, and gender responsive.

The regional COEs are hubs for training, research, curricula development, learning, advocacy, and policy guidance, and have oversight of country programs. To complement the work of the Dallaire Institute’s Regional Centres of Excellence, the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Dallaire Centre of Excellence on Peace and Security in Ottawa, Canada supports CAF implementation of the Vancouver Principles on Peacekeeping and the Prevention of the Recruitment and Use of Child Soldiers.
