Mr Jean Baptiste SERUGENDO is a senior statistician with 13 years of proven experience and has 4 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation. He has a master’s degree of Arts in Monitoring and Evaluation, and He is a bachelor’s degree holder in Applied Statistics. Jean Baptiste has honed his skills through hands-on involvement in a variety of projects and initiatives.

Before joining Dallaire Institute for Children, Peace, and Security as MEAL and Research Officer, his professional journey started at the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR), where he served diligently from 2011 to March, 2024. During his tenure, he played pivotal roles in significant undertakings such as the Rwanda Population and Housing Censuses (4th RPHC-2012 and 5th RPHC-2022), Integrated Household and Living Conditions Surveys (EICV4, EICV5, EICV6 and EICV7), Mortality Assessments (MAS-2015 & MAS-2015), Civil Registration and Vital Statistics(CRVS), Rwanda School Data Management System (SDMS), and Establishment Censuses (EC-2017 & EC-2020). Jean Baptiste's proficiency extends beyond project implementation to encompass various facets of research project design, including budgeting, planning, and resource allocation. He possesses a knack for designing and developing robust data collection tools, coupled with the ability to provide comprehensive training to field workers, coordination and supervision of data collection activities and field teams.
