Julie Marie Hyde
Julie Marie Hyde is a social scientist whose interdisciplinary research focuses upon the experiences of young people in educational, community, and organizational settings. She holds a doctorate in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Manitoba as well as a Masters in Peace Education from the UN-mandated University for Peace. She has over a decade of post-secondary teaching experience, having taught courses in Peace Studies (at McMaster University) and Conflict Resolution Studies (at Menno Simons College). Prior to joining the Dallaire Institute, Dr. Hyde was a Mitacs-funded postdoctoral scholar at Dalhousie University (with the School for Resource and Environmental Studies). She also serves on the Board of the Peace and Conflict Studies Association of Canada (PACS-Can).
As the Dallaire Institute’s Director of Research and Knowledge Mobilization, Dr. Hyde supports various projects and develops approaches for linking the Institute’s scholarly endeavors to its various programming activities.
