Patrick Kumi

Patrick, originally from South Sudan, fled to Uganda in 2016 as a child due to conflict in his home country. Since then, he has completed a university degree in Human Rights, Peace, and Humanitarian Intervention. Patrick is a vocal advocate for refugee child and youth participation and social inclusion. He founded "Similar Ground," an organization that creates safe spaces for children and youth to play, learn, and grow, regardless of their circumstances.

Patrick has collaborated with international NGOs on refugee policy advocacy and has represented young refugees at local, national, regional, and global forums, including the United Nations. He emphasizes the importance of including refugee children and youth in decision-making processes.

In his free time, Patrick works as a freelancer, specializing in data analytics, graphic design, and website development, helping hundreds of businesses grow. He also holds a bachelor's degree in Business with a major in Marketing.
