Ms. Yuan Yuan is originally from Shanghai, China. She completed her undergraduate studies at Agnes Scott College in the United States and obtained her JD degree from the University of Chicago Law School. She worked as a student attorney in two legal clinics focusing on human rights and migrant children’s rights while in the law school and spent her summers working in Cambodia, Poland, Israel/Palestine, Hungary and Tunisia on international human rights work. Immediately before joining Dallaire, Yuan worked in the development team at Duke Kunshan University in China. Prior to that, she practiced law for several years in a leading law firm in China and was a presidential fellow at the Open Society Foundations in its New York and London offices. She is qualified in both New York and China. She met her husband in a trip to North Korea.
